I agree, take the time to do the things that make you happy. Then take the next step. Look for ways to improve yourself and find other things that make you happy. Become brilliant at them then join others who share your passions. Be the expert and help others succeed. Now you are enjoying what you are doing AND enjoying helping others to do what you can do and be happy too. #happiness#teaching#coaching#success

For me, self care is about wellbeing. It’s all about making the time to do the things that make you happy. It’s so easy to let work take over, and spend your day off ironing, and lose an evening to Netflix marathons, but at the end of the week you’re likely to feel pretty unfulfilled. I always say to people who are unhappy at work: “If work is all you do you’ll just be unhappy”. You really have to allocate time to doing those things that make you feel good, making the effort to manifest your own happiness and fill your spare time with positive experiences.

I like to keep a list of things that make me happy and check it every day. If I can tick at least one item off each day, I know I’m on the right track. Why don’t you give it a go? Apps like…
